Kevin Weiss
President and CEO
Weiss brings nearly three decades of sales, marketing, technology, and leadership experience to his role as chief executive officer of the iUniverse parent company, Author Solutions. He is the former CEO of Simdesk, a SaaS market pioneer, and former president of McAfee, Inc., a computer security and antivirus company.
As president of McAfee, Weiss assumed leadership of sales, channel development, partnerships, services, and customer support, as well as corporate, field, and product marketing. He has previously held senior management positions at Ariba, Bindview, and BMC Software, and has spent more than fifteen years at IBM Corporation. Weiss graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Princeton University in 1979.
Kevin G. Gregory
Chief Financial Officer
Gregory has more than 19 years of finance experience, the last seven as chief financial officer of publicly traded companies. He most recently served in various senior executive positions with Pomeroy IT Solutions—a technology services and solutions provider. As the senior vice president and CFO, his responsibilities included financial, legal, human resources, procurement, and logistics functions for the NASDAQ-traded company. In 2007, he served as Pomeroy's interim president and chief executive officer.
Prior to that, he spent eight years in progressive financial roles including senior vice president and CFO of a NYSE-traded educational and commercial content publisher. He started his career in public accounting roles with Price Waterhouse and Ernst & Young. Gregory, who holds a J.D. and L.L.M from DePaul University and a B.A. in accounting from the University of Notre Dame, is also a certified public accountant.
Terry Dwyer
Vice President of Sales
Vice President Terry Dwyer directs U.S. Author Services and coordinates North American Sales and Business Development at AuthorHouse.
Dwyer previously served in a variety of executive positions with publishing, consumer and technology companies including Chief Operating Officer with Columbia House and Macmillan Publishing. While at MacMillan, Dwyer helped the company grow from $60 to $500 million in just 8 years including a 20% annual growth in international sales. He was instrumental in the significant expansion of the computer book category including imprints such as Que, The Complete Idiot's Guide series, and Sams Publishing.
Dave McCauley
Vice President, ASI, and President of Online Group (Wordclay.com, Inkubook.com, and AuthorTree.com)
Vice President Dave McCauley leads and coordinates efforts in the Fulfillment, IT and Promotions departments at AuthorHouse.
McCauley has a diverse operational background and experience in a wide range of industries. He has held positions at Market Sphere Consulting, PowerWay, Inc., Arthur Andersen, Caterpillar and Andersen Consulting. Throughout his career, McCauley has been responsible for designing and managing a wide range of complex processes and identifying enabling technology solutions. McCauley is a graduate of Indiana University with degrees in Biology, Chemistry and an MBA in Operations.
Bill Becher
Vice President of Production Services
Becher has led service organizations from a variety of executive positions throughout his career. His leadership background ranges from serving as an associate partner at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and a national partner at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting to the vice president of professional services and program management for PowerWay, Inc. Becher earned a degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame.
Diane Gedymin
Executive Editorial Director
Gedymin draws from years of trade publishing experience to help provide authors with the same level of professional editorial services they'd receive from traditional publishers. Prior to joining iUniverse, she held positions with Carlisle & Company, a Manhattan-based literary agency, and the Putnam Berkley Group.
She was also senior vice president and publishing director of HarperSanFrancisco, where she acquired and edited Sidney Poitier's number-one New York Times best-selling autobiography, The Measure of a Man, which was an Oprah book club selection. Gedymin also published other national bestsellers, including Just as I Am by Billy Graham, a number-one New York Times bestseller; and Cash, an autobiography by Johnny Cash. She is the co-author of Get Published! Professionally, Affordably, Fast.
Keith Ogorek
Director of Marketing
Ogorek's career in marketing ranges from account service to creative director and vice president of new product development. He has held executive positions with various organizations and advertising agencies, including St. Joseph Bank and Trust, McCaffrey and McCall, and Bates World Wide, an agency with offices in eighty-four countries.
He later worked as a communications consultant for churches, nonprofits, agencies, and businesses, including AuthorHouse, an iUniverse sister company. Ogorek is also the author of A Clear View, which he published through AuthorHouse.
Christopher Schrader
Director of Human Resources
Schrader, SPHR, has spent most of his career in “ink-on-paper” media companies. His career includes leadership positions in accounting, sales, and operations, in addition to human resources. Schrader earned a bachelor's degree from Indiana University, where he now serves as an adjunct professor of human resources.
Michael Iovino
Director of Information Technology
Iovino's information technology background includes setting strategic direction, enterprise architecture, software engineering, IT operations, and project management. He has held management positions in customer service, sales and marketing, and information technology for Prudential Financial and BearingPoint. While at BearingPoint, Iovino was responsible for delivering contracted information technology solutions to clients.
Sheryl Stebbins
Director of Author Marketing
Stebbins directs the development and delivery of professional author marketing services designed to help ASI's authors promote and sell books. She also oversees the iUniverse special recognition programs, which include Editor's Choice, Star and Rising Star.
Stebbins previously held various senior-level publishing and marketing positions with Random House Publishing Group. As publisher of the Reference/Value Group, she published seventy-five new titles annually; and as marketing director she created and implemented successful marketing strategies for high-profile Random House titles. Prior to her 12-year tenure with Random House, Stebbins served in several book-buying and merchandising roles with national book retailer, Waldenbooks. As director of merchandise buying, she was responsible for the purchasing budget and for directing the buying activities for more than 1,100 retail outlets nationwide.
Alan Bower
Brand Manager
Bower's publishing experience encompasses business, product, and marketing development in domestic and international markets. Holding management positions at Pearson Education, Pearson Technology Group, and Macmillan Publishing, Bower has led online, video, and publishing initiatives with IBM, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Cengage, Thomson NETg, and Harvard Business School Publishing.
Commissioned as a pilot officer for the Royal Air Force, Bower has a deep understanding in content development and marketing in developed and emerging markets.
Tim Davies
Managing Director, AuthorHouse UK
Davies has a varied and extensive background in the literary, general, and academic traditional publishing sectors, as well as in book wholesale and distribution. Before joining AuthorHouse, Davies worked as a senior manager at Faber & Faber, HarperCollins, Oxford University Press, and Advanced Marketing UK Ltd. His experience in the British publishing market adds to the services AuthorHouse provides to authors in the United Kingdom.
