Author Solutions reports double-digit growth in author agreements from previous year

November 16, 2007

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Author Solutions, the holding company for AuthorHouse, iUniverse and Wordclay brands, reported the number of authors signing agreements and registering with an ASI brand was up nearly 25 percent in October of this year as compared to 2006. This followed an increase of 11 percent in the third quarter over the same period in 2006.

"We are excited about the results," said Bryan Smith, president and CEO of Author Solutions. "It confirms that more and more authors believe we can help them reach their publishing goals."

Smith added, "We see continued growth opportunities with all of our brands, but we are particularly pleased with Wordclay, our free DIY online publishing service. Since beta launch in early September, customer registrations for Wordclay are growing more than 50 percent each month. We expect that to grow even faster once we launch Wordclay version 1.0 after the first of the year."
