Book Publishing Veteran to Expand Distribution Opportunities for ASI Authors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Author Solutions, Inc., the world's leading self-publishing company focused on helping authors publish, promote, and sell their books announced Thursday the hiring of Dave Hulsey as ASI Book Sales Manager. A publishing veteran of more than 15 years, Hulsey will manage book sales programs for ASI brands AuthorHouse, iUniverse and Wordclay.

"ASI is fortunate to add someone with Dave's experience to drive our growing book sales. His wealth of publishing sales and marketing experience will greatly benefit our authors," said Terry Dwyer, ASI vice president of sales and business development.

Hulsey's primary responsibilities will include maintaining and expanding upon established retail distribution channels through traditional, specialty and online retailers, as well as wholesalers.

He also will lead the author book sales department and forge partnerships with libraries.

"ASI is positioned for significant growth in 2008 and increased book sales and distribution channels are critical elements of our overall corporate strategy," said Kevin Weiss, ASI chief executive officer. "Dave's experience and vision will be a tremendous asset as we continue to increase book selling opportunities for our authors."

In the coming year, ASI forecasts it will publish nearly 20,000 titles. In addition, ASI will introduce a range of new services to help more authors complete their manuscripts and reach their publishing goals.
